Log Ins and Collaboration Heads Up

Just a heads up regarding log ins and collaboration reporting:  there is a slight glitch at the moment.  They are aware of it, a case has been submitted to diagnose the issue and it is being worked on.  There are some (me included) that are in and out of the Box that are not showing up as ever having logged on so keep that in mind as we are all working with our people to make sure they have access.

Hi, David

Not a problem at all.  I was happy to do it.  Having just done some checking, I knew what was going on so I wanted to share with others that might be struggling and were not aware that there are known issues already being addressed.

Isn't this problem solved yet? When I tried to log in today, first I had to confirm my ID through a link in email.

When I finally was able to log in, all my files, folders and collaborators were gone...

can you update us on how to have a clean start on could computing or is this the same as the box. ?

Glad to hear that it was not me!  Thank you. I really enjoy using BOX and have become accustomed to having the research for each weeks meetings.

I wasn't able to find an account for you under the email address you provided (redacted from your original post for privacy's sake) 

You will need to reach out to the owner of the folder who added you as a collaborator and ask them to invite Lora as well.

I can log on to my site but have lost my collaborator at U of Pittsburgh and all the folders he has put on there, I can't see.

i have a Box account already. i want change a current way to login to do as google open ID. i mean i dont want a different password between google and box.when i change a password of google account, i can login the new password without changing it at box. could you let me know how to do that? thank you!

I don't know if this is a related problem or not. You can move it to a more appropriate thread if there is one.

I rearranged my folder structure within my laptop box folder, but the cloud structure did not rearrange to match. And now I have strange partial sync behavior going on. I have a second laptop running box and it has retained the original structure matching the cloud. I can rename a folder on Laptop 1 and it syncs the change to the cloud and to laptop 2, but if I drag a new file into the folder it shows up in the cloud but not on laptop 2. Likewise if I drag a file into a folder in laptop 2 it shows up in the cloud but not on laptop 1. What is going on??

Should I just delete my laptop 1 box folder and recreate it? If so, please provide link to info so I don't wipe out anything in the cloud.

Shouldn't I be able to move folders around inside the box folder and have the cloud and other collaborators and laptop 2 see the changes? I'm the owner or co-owner on all the folders.

Hi, My Service manager has listed me as a collaborator and sent a Folder for all engineers to share. I get the message ' the folder you are viewing is either deleted or not accessable to you". my colleagues are getting OK. Do I need help with setting this BOX set up correctly. If so. where in plain english do I get it?

Hi,

I've invited a collaborator, but doesn't show under in my contacts tab.  I tried adding again, but get the message that this person is already a collaborator.  I don't think that his person has confirmed the invitation yet...perhaps that's the problem?

AndySue,

That is correct.

Until that person accepts the collaboration invitation they will NOT appear on your People (contacts) tab.

You should be able to see them on the list of collaborators (albeit in a "pending" state) on the sidebar within the folder itself.

One of my collobrators, can not log in today.  I just tried to re-send an invitiation to him, and was advised he was already a collobrator.  Can I delete him and re-add him?

hello, 

I searched for the answer, but I cannot find it anywhere. So I try it here. It looks like the place for login questions.

My wife has an account. When she is trying to login she has to fill in her billinginformation. We didnot find a way to skip this screen and go on. 

Non of the other people I work with, have this problem.

Who knows what to do now?

Would those of you who are still having trouble please file a ticket with our technical support team so that they can troubleshoot and help get this resolved?

Here is how to do that:

1) Make sure you're logged into www.box.com with your Box login and password

2) Click "Help" under your name in top right corner of the page

3) Click "Support"

4) Click "Submit a request"
