Happy New Year everyone!
After a year of meeting and connecting Box customers, we are more excited than ever about the communities of IT professionals that are forming in cities in the US, Europe and Japan. It’s invigorating to get so many content management strategists together talking about what’s working, what’s not and where they are taking their companies!
With the start of the new year, we have a few announcements to share that will better serve our customers as our customer communities continue to expand:
Box User Groups are now Box Local
To better represent the content management strategists coming to our events, we are officially updating our name! More than a name change, we are instilling a lot of discipline behind the scenes to ensure that each Box Local is a valuable experience for attendees. And to make certain that Box Local will always be for customers, our intention is that Box Local will soon be run by customers. More on this soon.
Box Local is going online
The Box Local events in each city have been extremely engaging (thanks, of course, to our amazing customers!), and we consistently hear that folks want to keep the conversation going after the event has ended.
To make that happen, we've launched Box Local groups – here on Box Community – for Box Local Chicago, Box Local Bay Area, and Box Local DC. More cities will be coming online soon. Benefits of the new groups include:
- Join the Box Local in your city to find and stay connected year-round to other members or your Box Local group.
- Easy to locate your city's Box Local content and see updates and discussions in one place.
- Our Box Local leaders will have additional abilities to manage and promote their city's events, and easily communicate with the group.
We're really excited about these changes, and hope they will serve our Box Local groups even better in 2018 and beyond! If you have any questions or feedback, please post a comment below and let us know!
We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming Box Local near you.
