Setting a specific shared folder to external app

I see there is a Node.JS SDK for box, is it possible to set a specific folder to display it's content on an external web app where the content can be displayed in thumbnail format and organized in columns.

I've tried the example but it requires the Enterprise ID and it isn't likely my company will furnish that to me for development, so I am wondering if there are specific tutorials showing how to present the content of a folder.

The concept is for our Art Directors to visit a web site and view the photography done by the agencie's studio much like they would search for images on a stock photo web site. But these are stored in our box service that they can directly download from.
