Developer account vs enterprise account

I'm trying to do some simple things with the Box API.

I already have an Enterprise Account; I was never told by my admin whether it's a developer account.

Do I need to do anything more to do development?  I started working through "Getting Started" (with the Box Platform) and, at least after I enabled 2FA on my account, was able to do things like generate an RSA keypair.  But I'm not sure I'm going down the right road here.
