Fetch Box folders and files metadata using Box Java SDK API Call

I want to know the feasibility of using Box Java SDK to fetch metadata information of Box application folders and files all in one api call. If yes, please provide the pseudo code, any limitations, response time, etc..

FYI - Box application has thousands of folders and many files under each sub folders.
