I am working with a client who has content (lot of text files) stored in Box. As part of some automation work we do search for files in local system and if not found then we search in box to see if the files are present here.

 

We are looking to make this automation program run like a daemon service. When playing around with SDK's (Java and Python) we realized the authentication process is 2 step wherein i need to ask user to log in to box and grant acces to get Auth code and then get the refresh & access tokens.

 

Can we do this authentication & token retriveal through some api's within the sdk. Any help would be of great help as we need to finalize the tech design.

  For apps that ask users to log in to their personal Box accounts with Standard Authentication (3-legged OAuth2.0), it is required that they do this via the web browser. There is no login API for handling this.
