Editing EXCEL spreadsheet from Box through NUMBERS on IPAD preserving LIVE EDITS

How can I use an excel (xlsx) spreadsheet that is in my Box with Numbers and save/sync the live edits to numbers without creating a new version of the excel spreadsheet in Box? I am working on an iPad.
