File Content Searching?

I tried to find the name of a person (English alphabets) which is a text inside a PDF file. I tried to find a phone number (numerics) of a person which is a text inside a DOC file.

Both searches did not return any result to me. These are not newly added files.

Do I need to turn on the "File Content Searching" function before I perform search of words inside the files?

    I understand that you are trying to search for your files using the Content Search. Please be advised that 'content searching' feature is only available for Business accounts and above: Search for Files, Folders, and Content:

    • Indexed Text per Document: The Box search index stores up to 10,000 bytes (~10,000 characters in English) per document for accounts from Business level and above. This amount can vary from document to document because of language, Box’s indexing method, and document type.
