Why does Embed Box remove link to open files on mobile UI?

We are using the Embed Box feature. On desktop, this loads an iframe with folders and provides a clickable link for me to open my file.

On mobile (using Safari or Chrome browser), the embed box loads, I can click through the folders, but the file itself is not clickable. A developer confirmed that the element goes from a button on desktop to a non-button on mobile. Why is this? It's not intuitive to have to click the "..." button to load the preview.
