Uploaded Folder keeps opening and cannot stop this

I am creating my folder structure in Box i.e. A > B > "C", however after uploading a folder C, this folder will spontaneously open every time I go into that folders parent folder B.  I can drop right back to "A" but until i log out of Box totally, every time I enter B then folder C automatically opens, rending folder structure B unusable.

This will occur until I upload another new folder, at which point that folder then suffers the same issues. 

Is there a setting to change to stop this behaviour?

(Win 10 business - Latest version Chrome browser used)

    Can I get these additional information regarding your folder activity? 

    • Are you opening your sub-folder in your local Box folder or through the Box website? 
    • Is this your newly created folder structure, what if you create a new one, still recurring?

    Thanks Rona, This is occurring when working through the Box website. When i create a new folder (i.e. within "C" or "A" then the new folder is the one that demands focus every time I go into its parent folder.
