My App log-in vs Online log-in take me to two Different box.com accounts

Okay - So utilizing the same email, I am taken to two seemingly different box.com accounts. My desktop log-in takes me to an account thats just has items/folders uploaded/created by me. My app log-in takes me to an account that has just items people have sent to me.
So question...how/why? Logically, this doesn't make any sense to me...

Are you seeing different folders and files display in your local Box folder and in the Box website? If yes, could you add more information regarding your Box application?
- What is the Operating System running in your machine?
- What is the current version of your local Box application?
