MacOS Change Box Drive Folder Location Not Working

On my Mac I want to change the location that Box Drive uses to download files to.  I have followed the steps outlined in the article:

However after restarting Box Drive it still uses the default folder.  

Has anybody been able to successfully change the default Box Drive location?  

Does anybody have any suggestions on troubleshooting?

    Hi Ryan, 

    Welcome to Box Community and glad to help! 

    Note that customizing the Box Drive folder does not change where Box Drive stores its app data or cached files. So customizing the folder will not save disk space if you relocate the folder to another drive.

    It is currently not possible to change the location of your Box Drive folder in Box Drive, hence a feature request has been made. Feel free to use pulse.box.com.

    @Rona any update on this feature? It cannot be explained how much painful experience this feature is causing to millions of users.  Can you escalate this?
