Box powerpoint file opened on desktop not saving to Box for guest user

I have a guest user on a PC who is working on a powerpoint file that he has opened with desktop powerpoint. When he saves the file is not updating on the Box version and he's not getting an error message.

Is there a permission I need to give him or a setting he needs to change on his end?
