I have not seen a Definitive answer to the question:

        autosave shared Box files with MS Office APPS on desktop

Specifically the "Autosave" feature in MS Office APPS on the desktop........

Does this / CAN this work with MS Office APPS on the desktop and BOX storage????

(someway / somehow??  Box for Office Integration doesn't help / work)

(same question basically that Frederick Naumann posted 1 month ago)

(Frederick Naumann post was NEVER UPDATED with a SOLUTION!)

No ticket needed.........just a simple "Yes" or "No" would suffice.

(If "Yes".......maybe some additional insight on HOW to accomplish this with BOX)

    Response from BOX Support:

    To answer your question, yes, the "Autosave" feature in MS Office apps should work with Box. This feature is called Box for Microsoft Coauthoring. You can set this up in your Office app by going to the Office menu, go to the Open tab and see whether Box is added under Other locations. Once you select Box, it should prompt you to login. Once you authenticate, you should be able to use the "Autosave" feature in MS Office when opening a file from Box.
