MadCap Flare PDF doesn't allow for copy and paste?

We use MadCap Flare to generate PDFs and store those PDFs in Box and were surprised to find that when you copy and paste out of PDF that it does not copy well at all.  It is unusable.  Box support states it is not supported.  Anyone else use this?
