Box account organization

Hello -
At the present time, all of our Box accounts are tied to individual users.  The question has come up about whether we can set up Box accounts that are tied to a departmental or laboratory email address with assigned people as co-owners.    

Has anyone in the community come across this?  If so, how did you handle instances where a department needed a Box account but didn't want to risk it being an individual because of the orphaning of the account if the owner leaves the entity?

Any advice is appreciated.
