the delay between adding a file to a folder and when it is visible through the api

Hello team. We found that using the box api, it is not always possible to immediately find out that a file has been added to a folder. It may take about half a day or even a whole day before we see through the api that the file has been added? Do you have any documented information about how big the delay can be between the moment when the file was added and when it will be visible through the api?
