Detailed upload email notifications

We get uploads from many different clients, and have box set up to alert us via email when something is uploaded. However, unless we click into the file, we have no way of knowing who uploaded it, or for what reason. Is there a way to have email notifications say who sent the file, plus include the comments the uploader added to the upload?
