Disable sign in with Google account on Box app for Mac
CompletedI originally set up my Box.com account online to enable sign in with my Google account for convenience since I thought I would only use Box via a browser.
After downloading the Box app for Mac, the login asks me to sign in with my Google credentials, but I do not want to enter my Google credentials in non-Google app.
So I created a box.com password (using the same email address as my Google account) and I removed Box access from my list of Third-party apps with access to my Google account so sign-in with my Google account no longer works on Box.com.
However, even after removing and re-installing the Box app for Mac, the app still prompts me for my google credentials and I cannot use my Box password.
Do I have to use a non-Google email for Box to enable me to sign in with my Box.com password? My Google credentials shouldn't even work anymore since I removed Box access.
The answer to this other post implies the exact opposite - that I can only use my Box email and password to sign in and not my Google credentials which is actually what I want: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/6562968833171-Switching-account-sign-in-from-email-to-Google-sign-in
