Running out of space after joining a box tenant

I literally just joined a box tenant and cannot upload a file due to "running out of space".
At the bottom of the menu I can see the used data which is 1.8 MB out of 10.0 GB. How can I be running out of space on my account???

You can check this by going to your Box console> Account Settings>Account> Account Details> Storage ( used/total).
What are the size limitations for uploading files?
