Looking for Understanding of how other companies have auto deprovisiong of users

we are trying to setup Auto-deprovision of Users using Okta. 

Looking for Understanding of how other companies have auto deprovision of users using OKTA. We have a legal hold for certain employees for which data cannot be transferred. Anyone facing such process challenges for setting up auto-deprovisioning?
