File Overwrite and CSV File Sort Order
Support,... Thank you for talking time to review my request. I would like to further explain over the phone if available as it is a little difficult to articulate on chat. But here I will attempt to do so.
I have two issues:
1) We are using QuickBase to upload a file into Box, the file is delivered well. However, when we upload the file again (same file name) the error returns that a file already exists by that name. We would then have to see if it exists prior to uploading the new file.
Does Box have a setting within the site to enable a file overwrite? I know this seems strange, but wanted to see. QuickBase has an option to see that the files exists, and can overwrite it. However there is a issue with timing as well. If we run the pipeline back to back, it doesn't see the file existing.
2) My second question relates to the same file upload from QuickBase to Box. Then Adobe Learning manager has a connection to Box to pickup the file and process. When the file is processed on Adobe Learning Manager, it loads in the database in a different sort order.
Therefore if I have a CSV with:
1 Tome Jones 123@abc.com
2 Bill Smith 456@abc.com
3 Sammy Able 9234@abc.com
When Adobe loads in the CSV it shows something such as:
Therefore if I have a CSV with:
3 Sammy Able 9234@abc.com
1 Tome Jones 123@abc.com
2 Bill Smith 456@abc.com
Therefore not retaining the same rows / sort order that was sent into Box. SO I am trying to figure out if it is Box causing the sort order issue sending it to Adobe or Adobe itself. When I double-click on the CSV file within Box and view it it looks good. But when it processes and loads into Adobe it is wrong.
And on question #1, does box and a timer or anything preventing back-to-back updates to the same file or path? Do we need to delay for 5-10 mins before submitted another update?
Thank you for your help.
