Using direct links in ArcGIS StoryMaps?
Hi All,
Im trying to use a bunch of images (.jpg) shared with me in an ArcGIS StoryMap. Ive turned on sharing and copied the direct links, and they look fine when im building the storymap (using the direct link to point StoryMaps to the images). But then, after some period of time, the links stop working and the images stop showing up. I feel like ive checked every setting possible, and im especially confused why the direct link seems to work initially, but then stops working. Any help/advice would be appreciated!
FYI, this is the error i get when trying to open the image in a new tab from Storymaps, after everything stops working (initially this works and i can see the image both in StoryMaps and the new tab):
The link you're trying to access can't be used to share files. Please ask the file owner to provide you with a shared link instead. Contact Box Support if you need help.

Some image hosting services might have policies where links expire after a certain period, or they require authentication for access. Ensure that your image links don't have any expiration or authentication requirements. PaybyPlateMa Login Ensure that the images you are linking to are hosted on a reliable and stable server. Sometimes, if the server hosting the images experiences downtime or changes in accessibility, it can affect the links. Periodically test the links outside of ArcGIS StoryMaps, e.g., by opening them in a web browser directly. This can help you determine whether the issue is specific to ArcGIS StoryMaps or if it's related to the links themselves.
