Disable sign in with Google account on Mac (switch to regular sign in process with a password))
I originally set up my Box.com account online to enable sign in with my Google account, but I need to have a separate password as I need to access some Box folders (owned by others) that require that level of security.
I removed Box access from my list of Third-party apps with access to my google account and I created a new password for my box account but it doesn't work. It still takes make to google and wants a code to verify.
I also tried changing the password on the box settings page but it always gives me an error message.
Do I have to use a non-google email for Box to enable me to sign with my Box.com password? My google credentials shouldn't even work anymore since I removed box access.
Or do I need to delete the Box account and start over/ But the option says delete "permanently" so I have not tried that route yet as I'm worried my gmail account would no longer be a viable option.
I found two similar questions on the support forum but both responses said that a conversation with the Box Support team was needed and the individual would be contacted via email.
Can anyone help? Thank you!
