Box Drive and R Studio in Mac OS
Hello,
I use Mac OS (Sonoma 14.0 (23A344)) and am trying to open excel files from Box Drive in R Studio (R version 4.3.1 (2023-06-16)):
> rm(list = ls()) #clear environment
> setwd(dirname(rstudioapi::getSourceEditorContext()$path)) #set working directory as path in box drive
> exp_data <- read_excel("file.xlsx", col_type = "guess", col_names = TRUE) #load in desired file
Sometimes this succeeds, but most of the time, I receive this error:
Error in utils::unzip(zip_path, list = TRUE) :
zip file 'file.xlsx' cannot be opened
In addition: Warning message:
In normalizePath(path) :
path[1]="file.xlsx": Operation not permitted
Would it be possible to receive some guidance about how to proceed so that I can reliably load files saved in Box Drive?
Some things that I have tried that have not worked: Saving the file path to a variable and then using that path and then attempting to open the file using that saved path; making sure all files are available offline; setting path using third-party package 'boxrdrive'
