"Open with google docs" option not available for docx and doc files

Hello, 

Please can you advise - the option to "open with Google Docs" is not available.  I am only able to open with Microsoft Word.  Expected behaviour is to see the option "Google Docs" on the Open With menu.  I don't see an "Open With" menu item.

By the way, I am able to open xlsx docs successfully in Google Sheets - the issue is with MS Word.
