Online only option doesn't exist

Hello, I just started using box and I'm already having issues. I have files that I do not want on my hard drive, but the option to make them online only is not available. I've visited other posts with the same issue and none of the solutions work (restart, turn off finder extension, etc.) I can see "make available offline" but not "make online only." I see a grey cloud/download icon on offline files, but no icon at all for offline files. 

And actually now I'm noticing that I have the "make available offline" only for folders—for individual files, I only have the option of downloading by clicking the icon. Not only that, but folders that ARE on my hard drive still give me the "make available offline" even though they already are.

Please help!
