Search API

Is there any consideration to have a more SQL like search endpoint?  There are tons of things on my wishlist for search but they mostly fall in line with more of an SQL like search like:

1. looking for nulls or metadata without a value
2. Checking for not equal to a particular string
3. order-by type of clause
4. further defining the search with a more exact where clause
5. etc...
