Limit to Number of Collaborations for an App User Within an Enterprise?

I've seen the post about there being a recommended limit of 1,000 collaborators on a single folder. But I haven't seen a post about collaboration limitations for users. Is there an actual limit or recommended limit for the number of collaborations created within an enterprise for a single App User?

The app integration I've created for our university creates a collaboration with an App User whenever a Faculty member or Student shares a file through our campus online LMS. This way when someone else needs to download the file, the App User makes the download file API call. The reason this question comes up is because over time this App User will potentially have tens of thousands of collaborations on different folders and files. Can anyone forsee any issues here?
