Update multiple pdf file names that were compromised during upload from external source

We have about 200+ pdf file names we are trying to correct in box that were compromised during an upload from an external source. The names of the affected files are compromised following a pattern similar to this: "contract1.pdf;contract1.pdf;contract1_final.pdf" instead of just "contract1.pdf".  Any ideas/script suggestions/tools that can be used to fix this without having to go into box and manually update/edit the name of each individual file?

  A couple of thoughts:

   

  1) This is the sort of thing you could do with the Box API, but that's probably overkill for a one-off fix. See http://developer.box.com

   

  2) You could mount Box on your computer using WebDAV (which is--thanks to the inherent nature of the protocol, not Box's implementation--rather slow, but it should be fine for this purpose) and use a script or tool on your computer to do the fix.  See https://community.box.com/t5/How-to-Guides-for-Managing/Does-Box-support-WebDAV/ta-p/310
