Deleting Box Apps - Admin Console

I created a test app in the Box Dev Console saved it and then went to the Box Admin Console and authorized this app. Later on, when I went to delete this app I was able to delete it in the Dev Console but when I went to delete it from the list of Authorized apps in the Admin Console I received the message below and could not remove this reference.

"If you'd like to delete this app, please call our support org. If you’d like to disable this app temporarily, please click on the "Disable app authorization" option from the same dropdown"

This app had no users or any other objects in my Box Enterprise so why am I not able to delete the app itself but not the authorization? I couldn't see anything in the documentation or forum around this.
