How safe is it to include client id and client secret in my android app?

I am authoring an android app which will access Box on users behalf.

Both client_id and client_secret are required in the Box sample android app

Should I worry about keeping client_secret a secret in my app ? How safe is it to write the client_secret in plain text in code as in the sample app linked above?

Please help.
