How to Use box API (node) to search for files/folders with invalid windows characters, and rename
I just read that the search api strips the characters i want to search for.
Please tell me there is a way to use this API to search for files & folders that have invalid Windows characters in them. Our company has Mac users that constantly save files & folders with characters that windows can't handle. Other times users are on box.com and do the same. We've got so many files with pipe characters and colons I can't go through them all manually.
With that said, someone please tell me there is a workaround where those characters are not stripped from the query using the search API?
Do I have to loop through every folder and file we have, somehow, to get this done instead?

Limitation:
Queries which include special characters [!#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_{|}~] are stripped from search queries in both the Box UI and Search endpoint. If the created_at_range value and/or the updated_at_range_value includes a time offset with a "+", this will need to be encoded as %2B. For example, https://api.box.com/2.0/search?query=test&updated_at_range=2017-03-15T12:00:00%2B05:30.
