Box Dicom Uploader File Type Support

Hi, I'm currently working on integrating the box dicom uploader and viewer in our app.

The uploader doesn't seem to work with a dicom file without an extension. This would be an issue for us since there are dicom files that don't have extensions in their filenames. Is there a good way to go about this?

 

Is there a converter available for dicom files w/o .dcm extension?

  Hi,

   

  If you upload DICOM files without any file extension to Box, then we cannot recognize them as DICOM files.  The data will be stored just fine, but you cannot view it in the Box DICOM Viewer.

   

  If you use the Box DICOM Proxy or the Box DICOM Import tool, we will automatically rename the files to use a .dcm extension. Here is more information on our DICOM offerings: https://boxdicom.com/ you can also email dicom@box.com for more information and guidance here.
