Portfolio view as achievable with Google Sites?

Hi,

I need to develop a way to share deliverables like source code and publications similar to a static webpage with a main overview, a side navigation and portfolio subsites that present each deliverable with some nice handwritten HTML chunk instead of just a list entry. With Google Sites, it is very easy to put a custom UI on top of existing services like Google Docs and Drive to achieve this, but while I have seen discussions like this Hosting a html static website using Box? - Box I'm not sure whether it's feasible with Box or whether I would have to write an entire web application that only uses Box through APIs. Specifically, I'm worried that just linking to other files from an HTML file I upload seems less coherent and just feels like a separate document rather than a fully integrated UI.

Is there any way to fulfill my requirements with Box?
