Folder Upload mimicing Box web app

We are building out a Box integration for our web app, using the Node SDK, and I am trying to build in folder upload functionality that mimics the Box web app. I tried to use the Box Content Uploader but that only accepts files.

 

Is there an easier way than using something like the webkitdirectory property for the input to get the folder structure and parsing the webkitRelativePath to create folders and then upload each file to their respective folder?

  At the moment, no. We're looking at adding folder upload support to the Content Uploader in our backlog.
