create external user through BOX API

Hi,

We want to know how to create an external/free  BOX user using the box API?

We only see “create enterprise user” but not external users.

   There is no way to directly create a free user via the API, but one possibility is to create an enterprise user and then roll them out of the enterprise (making them a free user).  See https://developer.box.com/v2.0/reference/#update-a-users-information for information about how to update a user to roll them out of the enterprise.
