getting 502 errors when trying to use preview on shared links that have watermarking
Consistently getting 502 errors (in the United States) when trying to use preview on shared links that have watermarking enabled, but status.box.com claims an issue only in China. I noticed this issue yesterday (and it continues today), but issue may have been ongoing prior to yesterday (it's been a few months since I last used preview on shared links with watermarking enabled).

More information: the 502 issue is with a shared public link with both watermarking and password enabled. If I disable watermarking, or disable password, then the preview starts working. But with watermarking and password enabled, attempts at preview see a 502 gateway error from public.boxcloud.com and dl.boxcloud.com .

And, as it turns out, the 502 errors I was seeing are a "documented bug", mentioned at the bottom of this page: https://community.box.com/t5/Migrating-and-Previewing-Content/Preview/ta-p/19153#limitations
In short, if you have watermarking enabled on a folder or file, and create a shared link, and a put a password on that link, then the link is useless: the recipient will be able to enter the password to see the names of the shared files, but they can neither download nor preview the files. I hope Box will be able to fix this bug, or prevent people from simultaneously enabling watermarking and passwords, or at least provide a warning within the product itself (there is already a Note by the watermarking listing some file type limitations, that same note could also mention that shared links won't work if passwords are enabled).
