can't edit pdf files from within box itself, can't directly edit pdfs

I downloaded the extension, but when I try to edit a pdf from within box, it makes me download the file, then when I try to save the file, it saves it to my computer, not box. 

I watched the youtube video and I don't even have an edit option, a blue button, like in the video. 

So I don't know what to do. Can I not edit pdfs within box?

    Sorry, I should have said: I'm writing on a brand new mac laptop. MacOS Mojave.

    No, I never figured it out and I don't even know if it's possible. I hope it is possible, but I don't know how to do it...
