So far Box support has suggested exactly what is posted in the community forum. Check Universal C (not applicable to WIN10), Check .net, uninstall, reinstall.

I have done this several times with the same results BEFORE contacting support. Hope they can do better...

I got this issue just now. I can't even uninstall it. It simply stops working.

I have the same error, neither installation of the Box drive application nor uninstalling works.

Tried various methods but nogo. Checked OS using sfc /scannow command but no issues found.

It's a shame if I have to reinstall Windows 11 from scratch for a seemingly trivial issue such as this because we cannot work without Box drive (web version, not so friendly).

Can Box support find a solution for this soon?

Hi, I had this issue, along with many other issues. Follow these steps:

    1. Open Control Panel.
    2. Change View by to Large icons.
    3. Click on Programs & Features > Turn Windows features on or off.
    4. Check if .NET Framework (all the versions) and make sure that it is enabled. If the option is unticked, tick the box. Also, expand the option if possible and check sub-options as well. (if there are two .NET Framework, make sure they are both turned on).
    5. Click Ok.

Make sure to click allow windows to download anything necessary to go through with the fix. After it is complete, go to Start and type in Box, and try to run it again. This worked for me.
