Need to open box links with the existing Java application instead of the box application opening in new tab

Hi, I am using a java application with JSF framework with OAuth 2.0 user authentication.

In the application there are certain screens where the user is able to see box links. Now presently the when the user clicks on the box link, box application opens in a separate tab. Now what I am looking for is to open the box link within the application.

Please help and let me know if it is possible.
