I can't download files that were shared with me
I can't download some files that they shared, it gives me a message that mentioned that the file is downloading but it won't download

I have the same problem. I was getting a message that a download was in progress, but there's no status bar. I never got the download. I tried a smaller, different file type; it said I need to contact my system admin (which is me). Is there a security setting that needs to be adjusted?

If the url of your sharefile link starts with www.box.com/s/xxx(file id), it's probably outdated (not the file)
I had the exact same issue few days ago, I simply changed the url from 'www.box.com/s/xxx(file id)' to 'app.box.com/s/xxx(file id)'
Then press the download button. You may also download it from your account.
I'm not a programmer so I can't explain why this happens.
