Downloading and opening all files failed

I have been using Boxdrive for years now, but since June this year all files failed to open or download, I tried all options to uninstall, clear cache and re-install unsuccessfully, I tried IT specialist but failed, I bought a new laptop and installed Boxdrive but all fails. When opening or downloading files (any type, PDF or XLS) it pops up a message to check internet connection which is not the case. I have since moved to other Cloud platforms but wish to go back to Boxdrive. It only opens file on browser to view no downloading is possible.
