Box Drive on Mac Monterey (Intel 2019) still has a lot of problems
I tried the methods mentioned by Abby Larson and I still have problems. There are additional problems beyond what Gerard Bosveld mentioned. To summarize:
1. Reinstallation of Box loses all local updates
2. Synch is not working unless I quit/restart Box. (It does not automatically synch files each time there is a file update or new files created.
3. Icons that show green arrows, yellow wheels, and clouds are not updating.
4. It is creating Cache files that mirror for each item in the local Box-Box folder, and those Cache files do not disappear in ~Library/ApplicationSupport/Box. Cache files are supposed to go away after several days (default 6, and I set it to 1), but they are staying forever. They don't recommend deleting the Cachefiles but if you do (I had to do this because I have ~1 TB in Box), those files will start downloading all over again, creating new Cache files!
5. If you keep files off line, it takes forever to open them upon demand from your Mac.
I received an email from Box 9 days ago that they are looking into the BoxDrive problems on Monterey but no updates yet?
