Users of Box treating it like a department file share instead of collaborative tool for individuals

Hello -

We have several users that work in a department.  They have created different folders that each shares with the other that are significant to the operations of the department.  Recently, one of these individuals left and her account was deactivated.  When this happened, the other users could not get to the contents of the folders she'd shared.

My question to the group is this - Is there a way or does Box support setting up "department accounts"  that do not have a specific individual owner but allows for collaboration between individuals.
