Box is modifying my PDF files

I save very large pdf files on to box. I work on them on Adobe DC. The files look fine on my computer when I save them but when I save them on to BOX, they look modified. Words are incomplete, pages are shifted around. We knew that sometimes BOX doesn't show a document as it is supposed to be on adobe. 

Problem is, when you open these files on Adobe again, those strange modifications are now a part of your original PDF files. I'm not sure how BOX is modifying the documents and I'm not sure how to stop it from doing that or fix this issue. 

Has anyone experienced any similar issues?
