Box Drive slow uploading and downloading

Hi,

I've been using Box drive app on my mac for a week, but I've been finding both the upload and download of files very slow. - I've got an ok internet connection 74mbps down/ 18mbps up but with box drive I'm lucky if I get more than 3mb up and it's currently downloading a file at about 5mb down.

Whilst trying to trouble shoot this issue, I've found that just having the box drive app open halves my download speed according to speedtest sites.

Is there anything I can do to optimise my router or set up to get Box drive working a bit quicker?
