Email sent but sender doesn't know

My customer has received mutiple emails with a request from their colleague but he did not send anything.

Is this possible to backtrack?

  Problem is that he doens't have a account and never used this website. 

  We are very worried about this. 

  So could somebody help me in this how this is possible or to backtrack were this was sent from?
