General feedback for Box

I'm not sure that I like Box so far, (I came from Dropbox). 3 main reasons.

Administration seems pretty good and straightforward but;

1. I don't trust that the app has done what I need to it to on closing an app/computer. You don't get enough notification from the user interface.

I tried an experiment - I simply made changes to quite a lot of files in both Box and DropBox, (the reason being I didn't want sync to finish before I had a chance to monitor it).

Shutdown and restarted a second Mac with Box installed. As soon was possible, Clicked the Box menu bar icon and selected the transfers window. After that I clicked the Dropbox icon. I then waited.

A few seconds later I saw the sync indicator on the DropBox icon but nothing at all appeared in the Box sync window, all it said for the entire duration was, "No Active Transfers". It leaves me asking myself if my changes had been carried out and leaves me feeling distrustful of Box.

Clicking the Dropboc icon at anytime allows me to see a list of recent transfers. Knowing that that you are up to date is one of the most important things for an online drive.

2. It's possible for the transfers window be be persistent on a Mac but not Windows? So no consistency.

3. Mac files. In this day and age it shouldn't be an issue to sync them without jumping through hoops. Google Drive, OneDrive and DropBox all manage to do it.

It's early days right now but will see after the first year how things go.
