Large files sync issue

Need some advice on how to best use Box storage.

Multiple users work with relative large files and there are issues with syncing when one user changes a file the others cannot see the change in Box for up to an hour later.

Was thinking of installing a NAS box on the local LAN and setting up sync to Box from that. Users can then work on the local storage that give faster access.

Does anyone have experience with similar solutions or have good ideas on how to make it easier for the users?

    Box.com support told me that they don't support file syncing with NASs. In particular, they appear to stop all file transfers after 1 TB of data has been transferred (per month? per year? Not sure).
